Trentemøller : The Last Resort

 

I definitely go back and forth between enjoying "chill" music and not. I think my latest purchase on iTunes is leading me to believe I am swiftly on my way back to the cool velvety arms of downtempo music. My friend Chad was the first to drop this guy on me. He is an electronic musician from Denmark and you can learn much more about him at the Trentemøller wiki page .

A great many chill electronic productions have indeed been produced but there seems to be something about this album that is special.  It gets very raw at times without tipping its hat to the ill fated electroclash movement.  I even at times get a vibe harkening back to Haujobb's Ninetynine (a MUST MUST MUST have for any electronic afficianado) which is oh so welcome as that album was a departure for Haujobb and after that departed the sound as quickly as they arrived.  Thank gawd for this one.  I will be checking this artist out a great deal more.
